At Buckwalter Dental care we take our job of protecting the health of our patients, team members, and families very seriously. In light of the news of the recent cases of Coronavirus/COVID-19 in the state of South Carolina, we want to reassure you that we are doing all that we can to ensure the safety of our patients and team members and help to prevent the spread of the virus in our community.
As a dental office we practice universal infection control precautions on a daily basis by disinfecting our treatment rooms and public surfaces. We always change gloves, wear masks, sterilize our instruments, disinfect our common areas of treatment rooms, and change all plastic barriers between patients per OSHA and CDC guidelines. We do this for every patient, every appointment, always.
In response to the increasing concern with Coronavirus/COVID-19 we would like to ask that if you or any member of your immediate household are experiencing flu-like symptoms, fever, or a persistent dry cough (unless cleared by a physician) please let us know so that we may reschedule your appointment for the safety of our patients, team members, and community.
If you have travelled to areas outside of the US that are known to have a high incidence of Coronavirus/COVID-19 within the last 14 days, we also ask that you reschedule your appointment at this time.
We are continuously closely monitoring the situation and will continue to follow the recommendations set forth by the CDC, ADA, and South Carolina State Board of Dentistry.
